OVERVIEW

ABL Consultants Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based civil and structural engineering consultancy established in 2007. Its work spans ports, industrial plants, infrastructure, commercial and residential developments across both the public and private sectors.

The challenge was to strengthen ABL Consultants’ market presence as the business expanded, beginning with a new visual identity that would bring greater clarity to the brand while moving beyond the conventions of engineering communication.

IDEATION

We incorporated the word “consultants” into the identity to sharpen the brand position and give greater clarity to the nature of the business. The design deliberately moves away from the technical symbols commonly associated with engineering, introducing a more human and contemporary character.

The initials “abl” are set in lowercase, with each letter increasing in height to suggest growth, progress and forward momentum. The accompanying signage-inspired typeface adds a congenial quality, balancing the technical rigour of engineering with a more approachable personality.

A yellow halo completes the signature, symbolising unity, wholeness and light. Positioned above the wordmark like a small sun, it provides a distinctive visual accent to the identity.

The result is an engineering identity that communicates professionalism and progress with greater clarity, warmth and distinction.
