WILLIAM GLASSER INSTITUTE SINGAPORE
BRAND IDENTITY | WEB DESIGN
OVERVIEW
William Glasser Institute Singapore is part of a global network of non-profit organisations promoting the ideas and teachings of the late Dr. William Glasser, internationally recognised for developing Reality Therapy.
The challenge was to bring greater clarity and distinction to the Singapore institute’s identity, which had previously appeared in varied forms across its communications. The new identity needed to feel contemporary and approachable while retaining a sense of warmth appropriate to its people-centred work.
IDEATION
The identity is anchored on the organisation’s initials, WGIS, creating a concise and recognisable mark that aligns with the launch of its new domain, wgis.org.sg. The simplified form gives the institute a stronger visual presence while making the identity easier to recognise and retain.
The “S” is expressed in negative space, creating a subtle sense of movement within the mark. Beyond representing Singapore, the form suggests an idea emerging from its surroundings – an apt visual expression for the continuing development and circulation of Glasser’s ideas and teachings.
The result is a contemporary identity that balances clarity with warmth. The distinctive negative-space “S” gives the mark its own visual character, while the simplified WGIS structure provides a consistent foundation for the institute’s digital presence and communications.
TESTIMONIAL
“It was a pleasant experience working with Marcus, from Ease Communications, on our website and logo. Marcus is a professional, experienced and committed website designer with apparent 21st century competencies of working with a variety of organisations and settings.
He showed genuine interest and effort in understanding our organisation’s mission when designing our logo, and going beyond the call of duty to fulfil the task. We truly appreciate his kind patience and personable way of listening to our thoughts and incorporating them into the logo and website design.”
