OVERVIEW
Founded in 2004, In Focus Counseling & Therapy Services is a private practice providing professional counseling, psychotherapy and supportive coaching for youth, couples, parents and working adults. The practice focuses on helping clients navigate emotional and mental health issues through a professional yet approachable therapeutic relationship.
The challenge was to create an identity that could communicate the nature of talk therapy without appearing clinical or institutional. The name “In Focus” provided a natural starting point: a visual language around conversation, perspective and the possibility of positive change.
IDEATION
The identity is built around two simple ideas: conversation and transformation. The quotation marks are integrated into the wordmark as visual cues for dialogue – the starting point of the therapeutic process – while the letter “f” is stylised as a leaping human figure with open arms.
The gesture introduces a sense of movement, optimism and vitality, suggesting the personal breakthroughs and renewed sense of direction that counseling can help make possible. A restrained typographic treatment and bright orange-and-green palette keep the identity warm, distinctive and accessible.
The result is an identity that feels professional without being clinical, and optimistic without being overly expressive – giving In Focus a visual language that reflects both the nature of its work and the human relationship at the heart of it.
